School's almost over!!!

School's almost over guys!!! Yeah!!! Three days left for jr. high and up. . .Four days left for all the younger ones. . .My last three days of jr high. . .I'll be a freshman in 3 days. . .SCARY!!! Well, the Monday after we get out (3 days after school gets out) I'll have to start waking up at 4:00 in the morning for swim team. . .I don't even get the usual week off. . .bummer. . .I guess that means I won't be going to sunsplash this Thursday. . .I'd rather take advantage of one of my few lazy days :( I might also be going to California and Europe!!! At least I'll get some days off of swim team when I go on vacation:) That's something. . . :)

Hey guys!!! For you who heard Fade Away(from my last post) that is not the completed version. Ok. . .So I wrote a song that is now on youtube. . .So the background on it is: I absolutely adored my uncle Brett. When I was about five, he let one of his best friends drive his Chipper Truck (which, by the way, is a really dangerous and hard job) and the truck got off balance and fell off the side of a mountain. His friend died in the fall, but somehow my unce survived the fall. He was paralyzed, though, for 2 more years. Then one day, two doctors gave him 2 different medications that conflicted with each other, and, as a result, killed him that night. So I wrote a song called Fade Away (which is about him) and my dad helped me record it. I did the lead sing, little sister, Sammie, did the backup vocals, and my dad and my older brother, Kiffer, helped do all the recording. So go to youtube.com and type in "fade away by megan." It should be the first on the list. In the picture there will be a weird red swirly thing on a black backround. Softball!!!

O.K. . .So we had a softball game last Thursday. . .Let's just say it went REALLY well!!! :) The only reason the game ended was because of the mercy rule. . .in other words, we were so far ahead of them that there was no chance of them catching up so they ended the game. Yay! So I play short stop and that's the position I've been playing all year. . .as in I've been in the entire time for every game at short stop. . .with one exception. The game before the one we won, Olivia (our first baseman) hurt her foot. . .or ankle. . .and I had to play first base while Matti subbed in for short stop. . .I caught every ball that was thrown at me (except one which was such bad aim that I didn't know if it was to me or to Mary our catcher. . .haha). I have played first base before in third or fourth grade but I don't like it for several reasons. . .

1). At our field the sun is COMPLETELY in your face. . .sorry Olivia! :(
2). Short stop gets most of the hit action (most of the balls are hit there)
3). Frankly, Michaela's throws scare me. . .if you are reading this Michaela, you don't need to throw as hard as you do to get to first base:)

Anyway, I guess the important thing is that we made it into the tournament. . .starting and ending tomorrow. . .ending tomorrow because we are playing THE hardest team in the league. . .Paradise Valley. . .Yuck!!! :P They're mean too. . .oh well. . .we out-do them in cheering for our batters!!! :) ok. . .I think that's all I have to say. . .Wish us luck in the game tomorrow. . .not that we win (which we probably won't) but that no one gets too badly hurt with the freekishly fast pitcher!!! :()

Random things. . .

Hey everyone!!! I know it's been like two weeks since I've posted, but I've been SUPER busy if you consider super busy being sitting at home and going out for fun things a few times. . . :) Anyway, on my birthday, at like 9:00 at night, my mom took me to go see New Moon. It was SO good. . .I think I still like the first one, though. It was still really good. My present from my grandparents who are visiting was to go to the mall and shop! Yay! I got a bunch of stuff from American Eagle on the mall trip :) And then for Christmas i got a bunch of hair stuff, like three different perfumes, jewelry, Bear Claw boots, and a bunch of cash. . .HEHE. . .I also get to go to Tombstone (which I've been wanting to go to for years), South Dakota (Freezing cold) and next weekend after school on Thursday, I get to go to Vegas!!! Let's just say I've saved up a bunch of money and I'm definately prepared for shopping. . .Of course! You can't go to Vegas and not expect to shop. . .It just doesn't work for girls! LOL! Sigh. . .I wish I didn't have to go back to school next week. Oh, I just remembered something!!! O.K. so I was sitting in my upstairs hallway across from mine and my siblings' rooms playing on the computer (everyone who has been to my house knows where I'm talking about). I didn't know my cat was there (cuz I was listening to my iPod) and I heard a really loud noise. I looked over to the right and my cat had gotten his nail caught in the blinds and was freaking out. He tried to get off the desk (he did a couple somersaults along the way) and next thing I knew, paper and string from the blinds was all over the hallway and there was a big explosion of paper dust. My cat saw that I was looking at him and ran down the hallway. . .GUILTY!!! Then the other day my cat decided he wanted to look out my window. He put his back paws on the end of my bed and put his front paws on my window sill. . .but the blinds were in the way of his view. . .he put a claw through my window and made a little hole then stuck his head through the hole and made it even bigger. . .now there's a cat's head size hole in my blinds. . .oh well. . .what can you do about a stupid cat. . . :) O.K. for softball players at school, we HAVE TO WIN OUR NEXT GAME!!! We stink right now. . .We need to prove ourselves and others that our team is not suckish (which is just where we are right now). Practice at home, go to the batting cages again, whatever it takes to win the REST of our games. . .That's right, we are going to win the rest of our games.
